The FND Connect Ouchie is a handheld sensory tool designed specifically with the FND community in mind.

The Ouchie features a highly textured surface designed to provide strong, focused sensory feedback when squeezed, gripped or rolled in the hands. For some people living with FND, strong sensory input or grounding techniques may be used when they recognise the warning signs or sensations that can occur before an FND seizure.

The aim of the Ouchie is to provide an immediate and noticeable physical sensation that can help redirect attention towards a controlled sensory stimulus. Some users may choose to use this as part of their own grounding or interruption strategies when they feel an episode may be developing.

The clever design also allows you to twist the end, creating another form of interaction and sensory input, while the small loop makes it easy to hold, carry or keep nearby.

How might it be used?
